How it WOrks
STEP 1 : Sign up for a plan
We offer monthly subscriptions (best value) and pay-as-you-go for laundry. We also offer dry cleaning (per-item charge) for those extra special garments! You can email us any time to check on your usage, and we can adjust your plan as-needed.
STEP 2: Give us your laundry bag
There are two ways to use Soapy Joe’s. ALL Freshmen and students living near University Village should use Option A. Off-campus residents should use Option B!
A) Freshman Dorms and University Village: We offer conveniently located stops right outside all major dorm areas/dining halls (see Schedule tab). Just bring your laundry straight to our van - it’s that easy! Look for the big white cargo van - can’t miss it.
B) Off-Campus and The Row: If you live off-campus, we have partnered with Big Waves Laundromat to accommodate all your dry cleaning needs, 7 days a week! When you want a pickup, submit the Pickup Request Form (see above tab). Specific timing requests can be made on the form. The Big Waves team will be in touch to coordinate your pickup and delivery!
STEP 3: Get your laundry back 24 hours later!
Your laundry will be carefully cleaned, folded with care, and ready for pickup the next day. Same time & place for the pickup zones. Off-campus customers can expect a call from our driver to coordinate delivery. Dry-Cleaning takes an extra couple days.

Historically, our average load weighs 18Lbs. Our 15 & 20Lbs/week subscriptions are our best sellers.
However, all student needs are different! If you tend to wash jeans, towels, sheets, and bulkier items more frequently, we recommend going with one of our heavier options. If you live in T-shirts, yoga pants, basketball shorts, etc, a lighter plan should do the trick.
You’re welcome to email us at any time to check on your usage and avoid overage charges. We are happy to make changes to your plan for the following month, if needed

If you live in a dorm or near University Village we recommend utilizing our pickup zones! Laundry is ready 24 hours later and kept safely on board our van until you pick it up.
1) New North / EVK | Monday-Thursday | 6:30PM-7:30 PM
Outside EVK / New Residential in the loading zone. This is also the most convenient pickup zone for Pardee Tower, Marks Hall, Marks Tower, Trojan Hall, & Birnkrant.
2) Parkside IRC | Monday – Thursday | 7:45 PM – 8:15 PM
On McClintock and W 37th Pl (between Parkside Apartments and the Ming Hsieh Dept of Electrical & Computer Engineering Building)
3) University Village | Monday – Thursday | 8:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Outside McCarthy Honors on McClintock. This is also convenient for Cardinal Gardens - right across the street!

If you don’t live near a pickup zone, don’t worry! We offer personal pickups and deliveries everywhere in the USC vicinity at no extra charge.
Pickups: M-W 6pm-9pm
Deliveries: M-Th 6pm-9pm
After you sign up for a plan…when you want a pickup, fill out the Pickup Reques Form (tab at the top of the website) by 4pm. Requests made after 4pm may need to be re-submitted the following day if we don’t have enough time to accommodate you, but we will always do our best!
Our driver will be in touch with you that evening to coordinate a meetup time.

We know that laundry can’t always wait, and we take pride in our 24-hour turnaround time! Items are neatly folded to save you countless hours during the school year.
Unfortunately, we can’t accommodate specific detergent/washing requests. However, we wash everything cold and tumble dry on low temp to keep your items looking and feeling fresh.

If you plan to dry clean with us, make sure to sign up for our Dry Cleaning plan (last option on the signup page). There’s a $10 one-time setup fee, includes a Soapy Joe’s garment bag, and we charge by the item.
If you are giving us dry cleaning, make sure it doesn’t end up in your blue laundry bag! Our team will assume that all items in the blue laundry should be washed. Dry cleaning goes in the purple garment bag - no hangers needed for dropoff. Just don’t forget to double check your tags.

You are free to stop by our van at your convenience to pick up your bag ahead of time.
You can also just us your dirties in a hamper, trash bag, etc. for the first pickup and we’ll transfer it to your bag.
You’ll use this bag (tagged with your info) for all dropoffs moving forward.
